A very popular beach and must see for yourself spot on the Big Island of Hawai'i is the Punalu'u Black Sand beach.
From far away it may look like a rocky beach.
But it's made up of tiny grains of sand and rock and surprisingly soft.
Many sea turtles can be found sleeping and basking on the beach. Always remember to give them their space. LOOK BUT DON'T TOUCH.
Directly opposite side of the ocean their is a fresh water pond.
With some fresh water lilies on the pond.
We spotted a Madagascar Day Gecko on a palm tree. Love the colors but they are an invasive specie in our islands.
Definitely one of our favorite beaches, Punalu'u Black Sand Beach.
