As a member of Na Kane O Ke Kai spearfishing club, I am humbly asking for your help in any form of donations to support our 5th Annual Hawaii’s Most Wanted Invasive Spearfishing Tournament that will be held on March 29, 2014.  Our goal is to help our precious ocean resources by eliminating invasive species such as the Roi, Toau, and Ta’ape which are responsible for preying on local fish species such as, Kumu, Uhu, Weke And other local endemic fish species.

Another aspect of the tournament is our trash category that’s part of the competition, we have 2 trophies that we hand out to the teams that collects the most, and also the most unique trash that they find.

And last but not least is our Food Drive during the tournament. Last year during our 4th Annual HMW tourney we collected over 103lbs of can goods that we donated to Hawaii’s own Food Bank. At the end of the day over a 100lbs of invasive species were taken off our reefs.

So its that time of the year we so humbly seek your help in supporting a good cause that helps our local fish to strive, also to help clean our ocean And help feed the hungry.  Over the past tournaments participation has grown tremendously, last year 39 two man teams help make it a huge success, we hope with your help this years tournament will also be a huge success.
